ADITYA MAHESHWARI

This study investigates Panipat's key sectors – including regional context, demography, land use, housing, economy, transport, infrastructure, environment, heritage, and governance – to understand their interrelationships. The core objective involves analysing current issues and potentials within these domains.
Building on this analysis, the exercise forwards comprehensive proposals structured within a Masterplan and Zonal Development Plans framework. These plans aim to upgrade Panipat's existing conditions and strategically address the anticipated challenges and demands for the year 2044, envisioning scenarios for accelerated growth and enhanced infrastructure.
The methodology integrates primary data, gathered through extensive on-site surveys in Panipat (covering land use, transport, households, infrastructure, and environment), with secondary research. This provides a robust foundation for the proposed plans, intended to guide the city's future development effectively.
